Preheat the oven to 200° C.
Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
Over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butterin a large ovenproof skillet. Add chicken, flip skin-side down, and stir untilbrowned, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Finally, the chicken is transferred to aplate.
Melt the remaining butter in the skillet. Then addgarlic, and cook and stir until fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat andadd brown sugar, honey, oregano, thyme, and basil until well combined. And thenreturn the chicken to the skillet.
Bake in the preheated oven until chicken is nolonger pink in the bones and juices run clear, 25 to 30 minutes.An immediate thermometer fitted nearthe bone should read 165 °F (74 °C).
