WHY ARE THEY CALLED HAYSTACKS?
Before modern farming equipment could form bales, the hay was cut and stacked before being transported to the barn for winter storage, limiting several centuries.
When you use pretzels with one or two other filling materials, they can build up to look like straws. It’s best to use twice as many pastries by volume as any other fillers (such as nuts or Rice Krispies) combined.
When creating the melted chocolate, much of it will flatten out to match the filling, rather than looking like a stack.

Add inside your favorite holiday cereal on top, or even dried fruit inside.
HOW LONG DO THEY KEEP?
Transfer the white chocolate straws to an airtight container, separating the layers with parchment, and then keep them in the refrigerator, once they are firm.
And they will remain healthy for up to a week. before I savor it, I like to take it out of the fridge for about 30 minutes, so it gets softer.
RECIPE VARIATIONS
It is very easy to mix up to suit your tastes and occasion. Also, you can use milk chocolate, semi-sweet or dark chocolate and use different colored sprinkles.
CAN YOU MAKE THEM ON THE STOVETOP?
Yes, of course you can make white chocolate haystacks on the stove if you don’t have a slow cooker.
Add the chocolate noodles and peanuts, then stir occasionally while the chocolate melts, in a saucepan over low heat. Never put it on high heat or the chocolate will burn.
