OVEN BAKED BBQ CHICKEN WINGS

Ingredients

  • 1 cup  flour(125 g)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 20 chicken wings, or drumettes
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce(290 g)
  • ½ cup honey(170 g)

Instructions

  • Step 1Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Then line a jelly-roll pan with aluminumfoil and grease it with a teaspoon of oil.
  • Step 2Place the wings in a single layer on the prepared pan, skin-side up, leaving asmall space between each wing. Brush the top of each wing with a third of a cupof oil. Spread the hot sauce on the oil layer.
  • Step 3Bake in the preheated oven, brushing with juices several times, until wings arebrowned, 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours. An immediate thermometer inserted near the boneshould read 165°F (74°C).
  • Step 4Remove the tray from the oven and blot the excess fat with paper towels. Spreadthe barbecue sauce over the top side of the wings.
  • Step 5Try to return the wings to the oven and bake for 5 minutes. Spread a secondlayer of BBQ sauce on the wings; Bake for another 5 minutes.
