Method
- Prepare the Pan:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it with non-stick spray.
- Make the Batter:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and mashed bananas, and mix until fully combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a few for sprinkling on top.
- Bake the Bars:
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the reserved chocolate chips over the top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with just a few crumbs.
Notes
Cool and Serve:
Allow the bars to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before lifting them out using the parchment paper. Cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
