This Banana Split Fluff Salad is a delightful twist on the classic banana split, transformed into a creamy, fruity dessert that’s perfect for potlucks, BBQs, or family gatherings.

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whipped topping such as Cool Whip
  • 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 20-ounce can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 medium bananas sliced
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup strawberries diced
  • ½ cup maraschino cherries halved and drained
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • Chocolate syrup for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  • Combine Base Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, gently fold together the whipped topping and sweetened condensed milk until smooth and fully combined.
  • Add Fruits and Mix-Ins: Fold in the pineapple, bananas, strawberries, maraschino cherries, mini marshmallows, and nuts, if using. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Chill: Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the salad to set.
  • Serve: Transfer the salad to a serving dish and sprinkle with mini chocolate chips. Drizzle with chocolate syrup just before serving for a finishing touch.

Notes

Keep Bananas Fresh: Toss the banana slices in a bit of lemon juice before adding them to prevent browning.
Customize It: Add crushed cookies, coconut flakes, or other favorite toppings to make it your own.
Make It Ahead: Prepare the salad a few hours in advance, but wait to add the bananas and toppings until just before serving for the best texture.
