Equipment

  • Baking sheet or pizza pan
  • Large skillet

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 can 16.3 oz refrigerated biscuit dough or homemade biscuit dough
  • 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the Biscuit Crust
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Flatten and press the biscuit dough into a large circle on a greased baking sheet or pizza pan. Ensure the edges are slightly raised to hold the toppings.
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, until lightly golden but not fully cooked.
  • Cook the Sausage Gravy
  • In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbly. Remove about half of the sausage and set it aside for topping.
  • Sprinkle the flour over the remaining sausage in the skillet and stir to coat.
  • Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly, and cook until the gravy thickens. Add black pepper to taste.
  • Prepare the Eggs
  • In a bowl, whisk the eggs until fully blended.
  • Melt the butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat, then add the eggs.
  • Cook, stirring gently, until the eggs are just set but still soft.
  • Assemble the Breakfast Pizza
  • Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the partially baked biscuit crust.
  • Layer the scrambled eggs on top of the gravy.
  • Sprinkle the reserved sausage crumbles evenly over the eggs.
  • Top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake
  • Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10–12 minutes, or until the crust is fully cooked and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Slice and Serve
  • Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
