Ingredients

  • 1 can 16.3 oz refrigerated biscuit dough or homemade biscuit dough
  • 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese optional

Equipment

  • Baking sheet or pizza pan
  • Large skillet
  • Whisk
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula

Method

  1. Prepare the Biscuit Crust
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Flatten and press the biscuit dough into a large circle on a greased baking sheet or pizza pan. Ensure the edges are slightly raised to hold the toppings.
  4. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until lightly golden but not fully cooked.
  5. Cook the Sausage Gravy
  6. In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbly. Remove about half of the sausage and set it aside for topping.
  7. Sprinkle the flour over the remaining sausage in the skillet and stir to coat.
  8. Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly, and cook until the gravy thickens. Add black pepper to taste.
  9. Prepare the Eggs
  10. In a bowl, whisk the eggs until fully blended.
  11. Melt the butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat, then add the eggs.
  12. Cook, stirring gently, until the eggs are just set but still soft.
  13. Assemble the Breakfast Pizza
  14. Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the partially baked biscuit crust.
  15. Layer the scrambled eggs on top of the gravy.
  16. Sprinkle the reserved sausage crumbles evenly over the eggs.
  17. Top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  18. Bake
  19. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10–12 minutes, or until the crust is fully cooked and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  20. Slice and Serve
  21. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
