Cheesy Garlic Crescent Rolls are the perfect, quick, and savory treat to accompany any meal. With buttery garlic flavor and a gooey cheese filling, these crescent rolls are irresistible. They’re ideal as a side dish, appetizer, or snack. Best of all, they come together in just minutes using store-bought crescent dough!

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Small bowl
  • Pastry brush
  • Cheese grater

Ingredients

  • 1 can 8 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese or cheddar for variation
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Prepare the Garlic Butter:
  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well to combine.
  • Roll Out the Dough:
  • Open the can of crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
  • Add Cheese:
  • Place about 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella (or your preferred cheese) near the wide end of each crescent triangle. Gently roll the dough, starting from the wide end, and tuck the point underneath.
  • Brush with Garlic Butter:
  • Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet. Using a pastry brush, generously brush each crescent roll with the garlic butter mixture.
  • Add Parmesan and Bake:
  • If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan over the top of the rolls for extra cheesy flavor.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Garnish and Serve:
  • Once baked, remove the rolls from the oven and brush them with any remaining garlic butter.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and serve warm.

Notes

Cheese Variety: Use different cheeses like mozzarella, cheddar, or a blend of Italian cheeses for different flavors.
Extra Flavor: Add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or Italian seasoning to the garlic butter for a kick of spice or herbiness.
