Chicken Alfredo Lasagna i

Ingredients
  

  • 9 lasagna noodles or oven-ready lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken breast
  • 3 cups Alfredo sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped (optional for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the Noodles: If using regular lasagna noodles, cook them in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside. If using oven-ready noodles, skip this step.
  3. Prepare the Alfredo Sauce: If using store-bought Alfredo sauce, heat it gently in a skillet. If making homemade Alfredo, melt butter in a skillet, add minced garlic, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until smooth and set aside.
  4. Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well.
  5. Assemble the Lasagna: Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce on the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Lay down 3 lasagna noodles, spread 1/3 of the chicken-ricotta mixture on top, sprinkle with 1/3 of the mozzarella, and pour a layer of Alfredo sauce. Repeat these layers twice more, ending with a final layer of Alfredo sauce and mozzarella cheese on top.
  6. Bake the Lasagna: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  7. Let It Rest: Once baked, remove the lasagna from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley (optional) and serve hot.
