Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Electric mixer
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Spoon

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Dough:
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Divide the dough in half. Add the cocoa powder to one half and mix until fully incorporated. Add the peanut butter to the other half and mix until fully incorporated.
  • Form the Cookies:
  • Take a tablespoon of chocolate dough and a tablespoon of peanut butter dough. Press them together and gently swirl them to create a marbled effect. Place the dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake the Cookies:
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly soft. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
