Cinnamon Roll Muffins

Cinnamon Roll Muffins combine the delightful flavors of cinnamon rolls with the convenience of muffins.

Ingredients
  

  • For the Muffins:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the Cinnamon Swirl:
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with muffin liners.
  • Prepare the Muffin Batter:
  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Prepare the Cinnamon Swirl:
  • In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and melted butter.
  • Assemble the Muffins:
  • Fill each muffin liner about halfway with the muffin batter.
  • Add a small spoonful of the cinnamon swirl mixture to each muffin, then top with more batter until the liners are about 3/4 full.
  • Use a toothpick or skewer to swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter.
  • Bake the Muffins:
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Prepare the Glaze:
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Glaze the Muffins:
  • Drizzle the glaze over the cooled muffins before serving.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg or cloves to the cinnamon swirl mixture.
Store the muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
