Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Cinnamon Swirl Bread is a deliciously sweet and aromatic loaf that’s perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients
  

  • For the Bread:
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • For the Filling:
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Dough:
  • In a mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm milk and let sit for 5 minutes. Add sugar, softened butter, salt, eggs, and flour, and mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  • Make the Filling:
  • In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  • Shape the Bread:
  • Roll the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the top.
  • Roll up the dough tightly and place it seam side down in a greased loaf pan.
  • Second Rise:
  • Cover the loaf and let rise again until puffed, about 30 minutes.
  • Bake:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Cool and Serve:
  • Let the bread cool before slicing. Serve as is or toast with butter.

Notes

For an extra rich flavor, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the dough.
