Cookie Dough Brownies

Cookie Dough Brownies are a decadent treat combining two beloved desserts: rich, fudgy brownies and creamy, edible cookie dough.

Ingredients

  • Brownie Layer:
  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Cookie Dough Layer:
  • ½ cup 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour heat-treated
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • Optional Chocolate Ganache:
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • Step-by-Step Instructions
  • Prepare the Brownie Layer:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Melt butter and chocolate chips together in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler. Stir until smooth.
  • Whisk in sugar, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let the brownies cool completely.
  • Make the Cookie Dough Layer:
  • In a mixing bowl, cream softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add milk and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • Gradually mix in heat-treated flour until fully incorporated. Stir in mini chocolate chips.
  • Spread the cookie dough evenly over the cooled brownie layer using an offset spatula. Chill for 20–30 minutes to set.
  • Optional: Add the Chocolate Ganache:
  • Heat heavy cream in a microwave or on the stovetop until steaming (not boiling). Pour over chocolate chips and let sit for 1–2 minutes. Stir until smooth and glossy.
  • Spread the ganache over the cookie dough layer and chill until set.
  • Serve and Enjoy:
  • Once the layers are firm, cut the brownies into squares. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
