- For the Meatloaf
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the Glaze
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- For the Potatoes
- 4 large potatoes peeled and chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Form the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a small bowl, combine ketchup, barbecue sauce, and brown sugar. Spread the glaze over the meatloaf.
Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with butter, cream, and cheese.
Spread the mashed potatoes over the meatloaf in the baking dish.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until the meatloaf is cooked through and the potatoes are golden.
