Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined Choose shrimp from sustainable sources.
For the Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Fresh parsley, chopped

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Ensure all the shrimp are peeled and deveined.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant and slightly golden.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously to scrape the bottom of the skillet.
  2. Add the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper, stirring until the cheese is melted.
Combining
  1. Return the shrimp to the skillet and coat in the creamy sauce, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.
Serving
  1. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately over pasta, rice, or enjoy by itself.

Notes

For variations, consider adding a splash of lemon juice or red pepper flakes for heat. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
