Using pre-made biscuit dough, you can whip up warm, soft donuts that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside—perfect for a sweet snack or breakfast delight.

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Biscuit cutter or small round object (like a bottle cap)
  • Mixing bowls
  • Tongs
  • Small spatula

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough like Pillsbury Grands
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Dough:
  • Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits.
  • Using a small round cutter, cut out the center of each biscuit to create a donut shape. Keep the donut holes to air fry them as well!
  • Preheat the Air Fryer:
  • Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and let it preheat for about 3 minutes.
  • Air Fry the Donuts:
  • Lightly spray or brush the air fryer basket with a little oil to prevent sticking.
  • Place the donuts (and donut holes) in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they aren’t overcrowded. Work in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry the donuts for 4-5 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and puffed.
  • Coat with Cinnamon Sugar:
  • While the donuts are air frying, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Once the donuts are done, immediately brush them with melted butter and toss them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
  • Optional Glaze:
  • For glazed donuts, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl to make a smooth glaze.
  • Dip the air-fried donuts into the glaze, and let them sit on a wire rack until the glaze sets.
