Method
- Prepare the Crust:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until the texture resembles wet sand. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish to form the crust. Refrigerate while preparing the other layers.
- Make the Cream Layer:
- In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
- Prepare the Strawberry Layer:
- In another bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved. Add the cold water and mix well. Let the gelatin cool slightly, then stir in the sliced strawberries. Pour this mixture over the cream layer. Refrigerate until the gelatin is fully set, about 2-3 hours.
- Add the Topping:
- Spread the remaining whipped topping over the set strawberry layer. Sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs, if desired, for a decorative finish.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Slice into squares and serve chilled.
Notes
Fresh or Frozen Strawberries: Fresh strawberries work best, but if using frozen, make sure they are thawed and drained.
Extra Firm Layers: Let each layer chill fully before adding the next for clean, even slices.
