Homemade Garlic Bread

Homemade Garlic Bread is a timeless favorite that pairs perfectly with a variety of dishes, from pasta to soups and salads. With its crispy crust and buttery garlic spread, this bread is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3-4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the Garlic Butter:
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, grated Parmesan cheese (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Slice the Bread:
  • Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  • Bake the Bread:
  • Place the bread halves, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the butter is melted and bubbly.

Notes

For extra cheesy garlic bread, sprinkle additional Parmesan or mozzarella cheese on top before baking.
Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter for a bit of heat.
