Jalapeno Popper Pinwheels

Jalapeno Popper Pinwheels are a delicious appetizer that combines the flavors of classic jalapeno poppers with the convenience of bite-sized pinwheels.

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowl
  • Knife
  • Rolling pin (optional)

Ingredients

  • 1 package 8 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2-3 jalapenos seeded and finely chopped
  • 6 slices of bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Filling:
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped jalapenos, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Prepare the Dough:
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a lightly floured surface. If the dough is perforated, press the seams together to form one large sheet.
  • Spread the Filling:
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Roll and Slice:
  • Starting from one of the long sides, roll the dough tightly into a log. Use a sharp knife to slice the log into 1/2-inch thick pinwheels.
  • Bake the Pinwheels:
  • Place the pinwheels cut side down on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Notes

Allow the pinwheels to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm or at room temperature.
