Kiwi Sorbet i

Kiwi Sorbet is a light and refreshing dessert perfect for cooling down on a hot day.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 ripe kiwis peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • Juice of 1 lime

Equipment

  • Blender or food processor
  • Ice cream maker (optional)
  • Freezer-safe container

Method
 

  1. Prepare Simple Syrup:
  2. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the sugar has dissolved completely. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Blend the Kiwis:
  4. In a blender or food processor, puree the sliced kiwis with the lime juice until smooth.
  5. Combine and Chill:
  6. Mix the cooled simple syrup with the kiwi puree. Pour the mixture into a bowl and refrigerate until completely chilled, about 1-2 hours.
  7. Churn or Freeze:
  8. If using an ice cream maker, churn the mixture according to the manufacturer's instructions. Otherwise, pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze, stirring every 30 minutes to break up ice crystals, until firm.

Notes

Scoop the sorbet into bowls or cones and enjoy immediately for best texture.
