Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet with wire rack or air fryer
  • Tongs
  • Small saucepan
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings split into flats and drumettes
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder optional, for crispiness
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  • Prepare the Wings
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large mixing bowl, toss the wings with cornstarch and baking powder to coat evenly.
  • Bake or Air Fry
  • Arrange the wings on a wire rack placed over a baking sheet or directly in the air fryer basket. Ensure they are spaced apart for even cooking.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes or air fry for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Make the Lemon Pepper Honey Sauce
  • While the wings are cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in lemon pepper seasoning, honey, lemon zest, and lemon juice until fully combined.
  • Toss the Wings
  • Once the wings are cooked and crispy, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the lemon pepper honey sauce over the wings and toss until evenly coated.
  • Serve
  • Arrange the wings on a serving platter, garnish with extra lemon zest or fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot.
