Peach Cobbler Cinnamon Rolls

Peach Cobbler Cinnamon Rolls combine the best of both worlds—sweet, sticky cinnamon rolls and the juicy, fruity goodness of peach cobbler.

Equipment

  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Mixing bowls
  • Rolling Pin
  • Knife
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • For the Dough:
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk 110°F/45°C
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • For the Filling:
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups peeled and diced peaches fresh or canned, drained
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough:
  • In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Let the Dough Rise:
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  • Prepare the Filling:
  • In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
  • Assemble the Rolls:
  • Punch down the dough and roll it out into a large rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
  • Scatter the diced peaches over the cinnamon sugar.
  • Roll and Cut the Dough:
  • Roll up the dough tightly from one end to the other to form a log.
  • Cut the log into 12-15 equal slices and place them in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Bake the Rolls:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cover the baking dish with a clean cloth and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Prepare the Glaze:
  • In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Glaze the Rolls:
  • Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a dash of nutmeg or ginger to the filling.
If using canned peaches, make sure they are well-drained to avoid excess moisture in the rolls.
