Peach Lemonade

Peach Lemonade is a refreshing and sweet-tart beverage that combines the juicy flavor of ripe peaches with the zing of fresh lemons

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe peaches pitted and chopped
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice about 4-6 lemons
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh peach slices and lemon slices for garnish, optional
  • Mint leaves for garnish, optional

Equipment

  • Blender or food processor
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Pitcher
  • Citrus juicer (for lemons)
  • Mixing spoon

Method

  1. Prepare the Peach Puree:
  2. In a blender or food processor, puree the chopped peaches until smooth. If you prefer a smoother lemonade, strain the puree through a fine mesh strainer to remove any pulp. Set the peach puree aside.
  3. Make the Lemonade Base:
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved. Start with 1/2 cup of sugar and add more to taste if needed.
  5. Combine the Ingredients:
  6. Add the peach puree to the lemon juice mixture and stir until well combined.
  7. Add Water and Adjust Sweetness:
  8. Pour in the cold water and stir to combine. Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar or lemon juice if desired.
  9. Chill and Serve:
  10. Refrigerate the peach lemonade for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld and to chill it thoroughly.
  11. Serve the lemonade over ice in tall glasses. Garnish with fresh peach slices, lemon slices, and mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Freshness Matters: Use ripe, juicy peaches for the best flavor. If fresh peaches aren't available, you can use frozen peaches (thawed) in a pinch.
