Peach Lemonade

Peach Lemonade is a refreshing and sweet-tart beverage that combines the juicy flavor of ripe peaches with the zing of fresh lemons

Equipment

  • Blender or food processor
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Pitcher
  • Citrus juicer (for lemons)
  • Mixing spoon

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe peaches pitted and chopped
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice about 4-6 lemons
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh peach slices and lemon slices for garnish, optional
  • Mint leaves for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the Peach Puree:
  • In a blender or food processor, puree the chopped peaches until smooth. If you prefer a smoother lemonade, strain the puree through a fine mesh strainer to remove any pulp. Set the peach puree aside.
  • Make the Lemonade Base:
  • In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved. Start with 1/2 cup of sugar and add more to taste if needed.
  • Combine the Ingredients:
  • Add the peach puree to the lemon juice mixture and stir until well combined.
  • Add Water and Adjust Sweetness:
  • Pour in the cold water and stir to combine. Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar or lemon juice if desired.
  • Chill and Serve:
  • Refrigerate the peach lemonade for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld and to chill it thoroughly.
  • Serve the lemonade over ice in tall glasses. Garnish with fresh peach slices, lemon slices, and mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Freshness Matters: Use ripe, juicy peaches for the best flavor. If fresh peaches aren't available, you can use frozen peaches (thawed) in a pinch.
