- Prepare the Peach Puree:
- In a blender or food processor, puree the chopped peaches until smooth. If you prefer a smoother lemonade, strain the puree through a fine mesh strainer to remove any pulp. Set the peach puree aside.
- Make the Lemonade Base:
- In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved. Start with 1/2 cup of sugar and add more to taste if needed.
- Combine the Ingredients:
- Add the peach puree to the lemon juice mixture and stir until well combined.
- Add Water and Adjust Sweetness:
- Pour in the cold water and stir to combine. Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar or lemon juice if desired.
- Chill and Serve:
- Refrigerate the peach lemonade for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld and to chill it thoroughly.
- Serve the lemonade over ice in tall glasses. Garnish with fresh peach slices, lemon slices, and mint leaves if desired.
Notes
Freshness Matters: Use ripe, juicy peaches for the best flavor. If fresh peaches aren't available, you can use frozen peaches (thawed) in a pinch.
