Equipment

  • Baking dish (9x13 inch)
  • Saucepan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Pastry brush (optional)

Ingredients

  • 2 large fresh peaches peeled and sliced into 8 wedges
  • 1 8 oz can crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 stick ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda like Sprite or 7UP

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dumplings:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Open the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  • Place a peach wedge at the wide end of each triangle and roll it up, tucking the edges as needed to seal.
  • Arrange the dumplings in the prepared baking dish.
  • Make the Sauce:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Stir in the sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined. The mixture will be thick.
  • Pour the sauce evenly over the dumplings in the baking dish.
  • Add the Soda:
  • Carefully pour the lemon-lime soda around the edges of the dish, avoiding pouring directly over the dumplings.
  • Bake:
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35–40 minutes, or until the dumplings are golden brown and bubbly.

Notes

Let the dumplings cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
