Ingredients

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Waffle Batter:
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. The batter should be slightly lumpy.
  • Divide the Batter:
  • Divide the batter evenly into two medium mixing bowls.
  • In one bowl, add the cocoa powder and red food coloring, mixing until fully incorporated to create the red velvet batter.
  • Preheat the Waffle Iron:
  • Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Create the Marble Effect:
  • Pour equal amounts of the red velvet batter and the plain batter onto the preheated waffle iron, alternating spoonfuls to create a marbled effect.
  • Use a spatula or spoon to gently swirl the batters together without overmixing.
  • Cook the Waffles:
  • Close the waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions until the waffles are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Carefully remove the waffles and repeat with the remaining batter.
