This strawberry cake is moist, flavorful, and bursting with fresh strawberry goodness. Perfect for any occasion, it’s easy to make and absolutely delicious.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries pureed
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pink or red food coloring optional

  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries pureed
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  • Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk, beginning and ending with the flour. Mix just until combined.
  • Stir in the strawberry puree. Add food coloring if desired for a pinker hue.
  • Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and smooth the tops.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
