Introduction: Texas Toast with Cheese is a delightful, crispy, and cheesy twist on classic garlic bread. Thick slices of bread are slathered with a rich, buttery garlic spread and topped with a generous amount of melted cheese, creating the perfect side for any meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 slices of thick-cut bread preferably Texas Toast or similar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Prepare the Bread:
  • Place the bread slices on a baking sheet. Evenly spread the garlic butter mixture over each slice of bread using a pastry brush or knife.
  • Add the Cheese:
  • Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of each slice, followed by a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake:
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the bread are golden brown.
  • Serve:
  • Remove from the oven and serve the Texas Toast with Cheese hot. Enjoy it as a delicious side dish or a comforting snack.
