Equipment

  • Oven or microwave for warming the beef
  • Small saucepan
  • Spoon or small ladle
  • Baking sheet (optional, for toasting the buns)

Ingredients

  • 8 slider buns preferably onion buns for authenticity
  • 1 pound deli roast beef thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese sauce store-bought or homemade
  • Arby’s Red Ranch Sauce or substitute with Catalina dressing for a similar taste
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon onion powder for the cheese sauce if making from scratch

Instructions

  • Preheat and Prepare:
  • If you prefer toasted buns, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly butter the inside of each bun and toast on a baking sheet for 3-5 minutes until slightly golden.
  • Warm the Roast Beef:
  • Warm the roast beef slices in the microwave or in a skillet over low heat. Be careful not to overcook; you just want to heat them through.
  • Prepare the Cheddar Cheese Sauce:
  • If making homemade cheese sauce, gently heat cheddar cheese in a saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until melted. Add a pinch of onion powder for added flavor.
  • If using store-bought cheese sauce, simply heat it according to the package instructions.
  • Assemble the Sliders:
  • Open each slider bun and lay out the bottoms on a serving tray.
  • Distribute the warm roast beef evenly among the buns.
  • Generously ladle or spoon the warm cheddar cheese sauce over the beef on each bun.
  • Drizzle a small amount of Arby’s Red Ranch Sauce over the cheese.

Notes

Cap the sliders with the top halves of the buns.
Serve immediately while warm.
