- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Dump the Fruit:
- Pour the cherry pie filling into the bottom of the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Add the can of crushed pineapple (with the juice) on top of the cherry pie filling, spreading it evenly across the pan.
- Add the Cake Mix:
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the cherry and pineapple layers, making sure the entire surface is covered.
- Add Butter and Nuts:
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix. If you want extra crunch and flavor, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the buttered cake mix.
- Bake:
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly. The fruit should be hot and the cake mix should be cooked through.
Notes
Let the dump cake cool slightly before serving. For an extra indulgent treat, serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
