Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing the paper to hang over the edges for easy removal.
Prepare the Crust:
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and powdered sugar.
Add the softened butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Prepare the Filling:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix in the flour, lemon juice, and lemon zest until well combined.
Bake the Bars:
Pour the lemon filling over the pre-baked crust.
Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the edges are lightly golden.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan.
Once cooled, lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang and transfer to a cutting board.
Dust with powdered sugar before slicing into squares.
