Pico De Gallo

Pico De Gallo is a fresh and vibrant salsa that's filled with the perfect balance of tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and lime juice.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 ripe tomatoes diced
  • 1 small red onion finely chopped
  • 1-2 jalapeño peppers finely chopped (seeds and membranes removed for less heat)
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. On a cutting board, dice the tomatoes, finely chop the red onion, and jalapeño peppers. Be sure to remove the seeds and membranes from the jalapeños if you prefer less heat.
  2. Combine Ingredients:
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped red onion, jalapeños, and minced garlic. Add the chopped fresh cilantro.
  4. Season and Mix:
  5. Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste. Gently mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
  6. Chill and Serve:
  7. Let the Pico De Gallo sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
