Pico De Gallo

Pico De Gallo is a fresh and vibrant salsa that's filled with the perfect balance of tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and lime juice.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 ripe tomatoes diced
  • 1 small red onion finely chopped
  • 1-2 jalapeño peppers finely chopped (seeds and membranes removed for less heat)
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • On a cutting board, dice the tomatoes, finely chop the red onion, and jalapeño peppers. Be sure to remove the seeds and membranes from the jalapeños if you prefer less heat.
  • Combine Ingredients:
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped red onion, jalapeños, and minced garlic. Add the chopped fresh cilantro.
  • Season and Mix:
  • Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste. Gently mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
  • Chill and Serve:
  • Let the Pico De Gallo sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
