Lemon Pepper Wings with Honey

Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken wings split into flats and drumettes
- 1 tablespoon baking powder optional, for crispiness
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
Instructions
- Prepare the Wings
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large mixing bowl, toss the wings with cornstarch and baking powder to coat evenly.
- Bake or Air Fry
- Arrange the wings on a wire rack placed over a baking sheet or directly in the air fryer basket. Ensure they are spaced apart for even cooking.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes or air fry for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Make the Lemon Pepper Honey Sauce
- While the wings are cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in lemon pepper seasoning, honey, lemon zest, and lemon juice until fully combined.
- Toss the Wings
- Once the wings are cooked and crispy, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the lemon pepper honey sauce over the wings and toss until evenly coated.
- Serve
- Arrange the wings on a serving platter, garnish with extra lemon zest or fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot.
